The 50th Law
I can’t say that I am a big 50 cent fan, so to speak. However, I had, at one time, bought into the hype behind his music. And “Get Rich or Die Trying” does hold a place in my music collection. Despite however I may feel about his music, one has to admit that he is a smart and shrewd business man, and no one can deny the successes he has achieved in a relatively short amount of time.
50’s new venture “The 50th law” is a book co-authored by Robert Greene, author of “The 48 Laws of Power” and “The Art of Seduction”. If you have ever read either of these titles, you will know that both have a lean toward throwing all morality out the window in order to achieve your personal goals, whether they be in business or romance.
To my surprise, The 50th Law, offers very motivating material with much less moral compromise than Greene’s other titles. Topics include self assertivness, dispelling your fears, turning negatives into positives, and so forth.
There still a certain element of self promotion on the part of 50 Cent infused throughout the book, by way of retelling his trademark stories of hustling and beefs with Ja Rule. But it wouldn’t be 50 without that. If you can manage to sift through all of this, there is still a considerable amount of great information to be found. After reading it I know I still came away with something from the book.
“The 50th Law” gets my cosign.
